A ryyk blade was a magnificently-crafted instrument of mass PWN4G3 that was originally crafted by the Wookiees of Kashyyyk. Resembling the fangs of some fearsome beast and always produced in matched pairs, these beauties were almost as effective as a double-bladed lightsaber in melee combat. You seriously did not want to meet an angry Wookiee who was armed with these things.
One surefire way to upset a Wookiee was to break one of his (or her) ryyk blades. You'd be lucky to only get impaled by the remaining weapon and your body tossed into the Shadowlands.
