The Outer Rim of the galaxy was the outermost part of the giant tire which revolved around the galactic wheel, as it rolled down the hills of the universe. It had to be changed often, resulting in massive PWNage and all-too-frequent planet destruction. The ideal pressure for the Outer Rim was 42 psi (make up your own abbreviated joke). Immediately beyond the treads of the Outer Rim were the Unknown Regions, which varied in location and size depending on whomever ruled what and when.
<insert name here> (and Jabba the Fatt too), spent years in exile in the Outer Rim, exploring different tread designs and generally being a nuisance, at one point nearly causing the Rim's complete deflation.
