"We have conquered our first planet, now we shall carve our logo in it and call it after me in my honor!"
Mandalore the First
"Mandalore is the planet of the Mandalorians."
Darth Obvious

Mandalore was one of the planets that belonged to the Mandalorian Clans. It was the first planet they ever conquered and man were they proud. It was one of few planets in the galaxy that could never be destroyed because it was so awesome. Hippies hated the planet because they were all tricked into going there by Mandalore and massacred by his legions.

Emperor Palpy tried to destroy it once with his Death Star but the huge laser merely bounced off the planet. It missed the Death Star, but hit a Star Destroyer carrying all of Palpy's concubines instead. The Star Destroyer disintegrated. This was the only recorded moment in history when the mighty Emperor cried. Whether it was for the dead people or with the joy at seeing the powah of his weapon systems on something as strong as a Star Destroyer is unknown.
