The Lurmen, also known as the Mygeetans, were a crap ass stupid cutesy hippie lemur species created for that one kiddy show. They quite simply sucked. Some of them liked to wear stocking caps to pretend to be cool but ended up failing even more miserably.
One other reason why they sucked was that No Soup-a With-a Buffet had good relations with them and thought they were cute and cuddly. Actually, so did Anakin Skywalker. Thus, they sucked even more.
Don't you dare tell all that stuff to their face, though, because Lurmen are also feared as proficient Wookiee-Nookieers.
The Lurmen species finally became extinct when Lurmen Brothers, one of their finest seashell-dealing primitive trading posts financial institutions, went bankrupt in the financial crisis that helped bring the Galactic Empire to power.
But somehow, besides all of their retarded glory, they managed to be one of George Lucas' favorite races.
Notable Lurmen include Wag Too, Waki-Tiki-Taka-Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!, Hot Tub and King Julien.
