The Light Side of the Force was the side of the Force that was mainly used by the Jedi Order, or people who didn't have the balls to experience the unlimited POWAH of the Dark Side. Of course, everybody wanted the unlimited POWAH so most people went to the dark side and joined up with the Sith. Also, the Sith had other motivational devices designed to get people to fall to the dark side, such as getting a cool Darth name and cool costume once you joined them, and free doughnuts in the lounge every Tuesday. Many of the abilities associated with the light side were considered very wimpy.
