A jetpack was a small backpack which contained a miniature rocket booster, allowing the wearer to fly and hover in the air. It was widely regarded in the galaxy as a novelty with little practical function.
Malfunctioning jetpacks were the cause of Jango Fett's death and Boba Fett's run-in(s) with the Sarlacc.
