Ithorian
Ithorians were a race of mammalian hippie herbivores who were gentle, spiritualistic, contemplative, and pacifist. The only thing they were militant about was their vegetarianism. (In fact, they have invaded several lesser-developed planets in order to eradicate the carnivorous population.)
Ithorians were generally humanoid, with a forward sloping neck and head, with two eyestalks located at the very tip. They had two mouths and four throats, which led to unique sexual practices, to say the least.
They worshiped "Mother Jungle," a Gaia-like deity of their homeworld of Ithor. In response to the Ithorians' worship, praise, and loving stewardship of the rainforests of their world, Mother Jungle has given the Ithorians hundreds of deadly jungle diseases, ravenous predators that steal Ithorian babies out of their homes, insects that eat away at the foundations of Ithorian homes and vehicles, and thousands of deadly storms and monsoons. So the whole society operated just fine. In order to escape the horrors of their beloved Mother Jungle... er, I mean, in order to lessen the environmental effects on their beloved Mother Jungle, the Ithorians built and lived in floating cities called herdships that never touched the ground. In fact, only three of the continents on Ithor have ever been fully explored; the others remain entirely untouched by Ithorian hands. Too bad, actually, because there were at least seven medical miracle drugs waiting to be discovered in the forests of those unexplored continents.
So dedicated were the Ithorians to pacifism that they exiled everyone who displayed violent or aggressive behavior. When the violent, aggressive Ithorians refused to leave, the society had to forcibly expel them... and then the people who forcibly expelled them had to be expelled because they were violent and aggressive. Two such non-pacifist Ithorians were Del Moomo and Dob Moomo, associates of Marn Hierogryph.
The Yuuzhan Vong wiped out the homeworld of the Ithorians with a bioweapon. The Ithorian president's final words were "Give... sanctions... more... time," followed by a death rattle and some gurgling.
