A Force ghost is the ghost of a dead Jedi or Sith (duh!) that had come back to the galaxy from Oblivion. They're blue, and see-through, and can either appear as the Jedi was when they died, or how they looked twenty-six years prior to death and before they get all burned and disfigured; no one knows why. The usual reaction to seeing a Force ghost was having a heart attack or tripping over in surprise. The best known appearance of Force ghosts took place on the night before Life Day, when Darth Ebeneezer was approached by three such entities. Most encounters with Force ghosts occurred after consuming too many Death sticks. Just ask Cade Skywalker about his encounter with Red to get the salacious details.
