Focusing crystals were used in the production of a Jedi or a Sith's lightsaber.They gave lightsabers the ability to shine a beam of light and PWN people.They also made a kick-ass BZOOOM BZOOOM ZOOOOMM!!!! noise when they were flung around in dangerous combat.
