Destroy your son was a favorite threat of Darth Sidious, having first used it against Darth Vader to destroy Luke Skywalker, and later against Han Solo and Leia Organa Solo to destroy Anakin Solo. Both times, Darth Sidious died.
The Solos have also noticed that Luke likes to destroy their sons.
