"Why am I here? What is the purpose of life? Why can't Hayden act?"
―The philosophical musings of Demetrius Zaarin

Demetrius Zaarin was an Imperial Grand Admiral and long-winded philosopher, who was known for questioning the purpose of the modern Emperor in the constantly changing galaxy. He eventually attempted to kidnap Darth Sid Vicious and install himself as Emperor. As Zaarin was not Force-sensitive, this was a pretty bad idea, but the strong-willed Zaarin would not listen to the pleas of his underlings, whom he believed to be "uneducated masses that lack judgment and need a strong leader for guidance." As you can see, he was a pretty deep political dude.

Damn, Zaarin, show some good sense for G*nk's sake.

Zaarin's remains were left floating halfway between realspace and hyperspace. He is survived by that Zorin guy from A View to a Kill.
