Conan O'Motti was somebody completely different from Conan Antonio Motti. After the destruction of the Death Star, he decided to start a talk show on Esseles where he would openly mock the Galactic Empire for leaving a marked target to the reactor for the Rebels to blast. It is likely that he was then killed by being Force choked to death by Darth Vader as a penalty for mocking the Empire.
