The bacta grenade was an ingenious way of distributing healing bacta to numerous targets in a confined space, while at the same time wasting gratuitous amounts of precious medical supplies, which would be scattered in 360 degrees, splattering over walls, chairs, computer consoles, and anything standing nearby.
Other medical advances spawned from the bacta grenade include the antibiotic nunchaku, the bunker-busting antiseptic spray, and the long-range pulse-fire focused-beam bacta delivery system, which could heal a target at up to 300 yards with minimal recoil.
