Look out, amphistaff's gonna get ya

Amphistaffs were living whips used by the Yuuzhan Vong. Like all their technology, it was required to be alive, as leather is not organic enough. Though, compared to drinking from a worm anus, the amphistaff is somewhat decent. It could be much worse. It could be living underwear. Or the millions of other mundane organic living creatures that are used for the most mundane of items, like dinner plates.

Behind the scenes

Apparently the creators of Stargate SG-1 thought the amphistaff was cool. Or else their amphistaff came before this one, in which case Darth Lucas ripped off of Stargate!
