Alderaan was a planet inhabited by long-haired pacifist hippie scum who tried to conceal their hippieness (hippitude?) by coiling their hair into buns on the sides of their heads. Darth Vader destroyed it because he didn't like hippies, they didn't give him his oatmeal, and he loved cinnamon buns, especially ones with hair on them. There was only one awesome guy born there and he was Darth Dateline NBC but, he left because he didn't like hippies.
