Go ahead, Force jump!
Born without a sense of humor? We are inspired by your courageous struggle. …Just kidding. Get the hell out of here and go read Wookiepedia's "real" article on Force Jump.

Force jump, or Force leap, Force hop, Force bound, Force vault and Force boingy was a major Force power used by just about all the Jedi and Sith you could name. It was accomplished by concentrating telekinetic force on one's own body and releasing it like a spring... or failing that, by pressing the B button. Or X. Depends what console you're using. Some Jedi, and for that matter some of The Super Smash Brotherhood, perfected the art of Force double-jump by double-tapping the button.

Jedi from Knights of the Old Republic could Force-jump and attack enemies clear across the screen, who still couldn't see them. During the Clone Wars, all Jedi could Force-jump unerringly over rough terrain or bounce between airspeeders in busy traffic on Coruscant. Even Ahsoka Tano could do it. By the time of the Rebellion and the Original Trilogy, there weren't a lot of practitioners of Force jump left... Obi-Wan was too old, Vader was too weighed down by his armor, and Luke... well, he was kind of a wienie, but he could Force kick pretty well, so that's cool.
